How To Give Financially

No organization has more potential to change the world than the local church!

No Guilt -- No Begging

ALL MINISTRY AT CROSSROADS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH THE FAITHFUL, FREE-WILL GIVING OF OUR COVENANT PARTNERS AND ATTENDERS. As a matter of fact, our very existence (our meeting place, utilities, even the chairs we sit on) is DEPENDENT on the generous giving of our congregation.

However, we do not "harp" on giving here at Crossroads...as a matter of fact, we don't even "take" an offering or pass an offering plate during the service. Though we teach that GENEROSITY is a core value of our church family and that generous, financial support AND serving the body is not only a RESPONSIBILITY but a PRIVILEGE of each Covenant Partner, we do not operate based on guilt or begging.

You will, however, find buckets at the front of the Worship Center on the platform and at the back of the Worship Center, on either side of the back doors. You are invited to drop cash or checks in these buckets and our Treasurer's Support Team will ensure they are logged and deposited. Over 85% of our donations are received through Electronic Giving.

SO...What Is Tithing?

A tithe—which means ā€œtenthā€ā€”is defined as the first 10% of a person’s income before taxes or anything else comes out. We often refer to this as "firstfruits" giving. In Malachi 4:10, the Bible says we can take the promises of God to the bank. When we bring our first and best back to God, He promises to bless the rest. God says, "test me. Test me and see if I don't make the 90% accomplish more than you could've with 100%." We can’t outgive God.  It all belonged to God before he entrusted it to you.

If you've never practiced consistent, biblical stewardship, we know tithing is a huge step of obedience, but you’re not in this alone! Everyone has had to start somewhere. What amount do you believe you CAN trust God with? Start there and allow God to stretch your faith

How do I Set Up Electronic Giving?

Not having cash or a check on hand doesn’t have to hold you back from giving. A large percentage of our donors give digitally. It is straightforward to set up - just follow these instructions:
  1. Mobile App: If you have not already done so, go to your App Store and download Church Center. Once you've opened the app and logged in, Giving is on the "More" tab at the bottom right of the screen. Just follow the instructions for setting up Payment Methods and Giving. See the video below for assistance.
  2. Online: Go to our website's ā€œGiveā€ tab by clicking here.
  3. Text2Give: Donors can text the keyword GIVE followed by the donation dollar amount (e.g., GIVE $25) to +1 (888) 711-1257. If you are donating for the first time by Text2Give, you will receive a text reply with a one-time link to add a payment method for Text2Give, review the terms and conditions, and confirm the transaction online. After completing this initial setup, donors can give by texting the keyword GIVE and an amount. After each donation, they'll receive a confirmation reply and an email receipt.
By default, Text2Give donations go to our General account. A donor can indicate a specific fund by adding the fund name after the donation amount. (For example: "GIVE $5 building")
Donors can also split donations between funds in a single text by listing the amounts and fund names. (For example: "GIVE $5 missions $6 building")
Other fund names are…
*general
*missions
*building
*benevolence
*vanhoecke
*martin
*hulme

We Highly Recommend...

  1. Many of our Covenant Partners set up recurring giving so they don't forget because of distraction or because they were out of town or sick.
  2. It is also recommended that you choose to give by ACH/E-Check using your bank account info...as it incurs the least amount of fees. However, you are free to set up your giving using any form of debit or credit card or even Apple Pay.
  3. Finally, you now have the option to pay the fees along with your donation, rather than those fees coming out of your donation - so your full donation can be used by the church for ministry.
Crossroads Church is a recognized non-profit organization, and all donations are tax-deductible.
