Leaders of the Pack

As we enter our 50's, life and ministry begin to change.  Many are entering the empty nest phase, welcoming in-laws, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren into their families. The nature of our work (our jobs) is changing as well as our free time and our ministry...and let's face it, for some of us, our energy levels.  We work smarter not harder.  These changes continue on through our 60's, 70's, and 80's.

As Titus 2 instructs us, now that we have raised our own children, matured in our own marriages, these are VALUABLE years for ministry...we now have so many more opportunities to build community and deep friendships in the church AND invest in and impact young adults and young families in our congregation.  Our mission and ministry are more VITAL now than ever before. We are the Leaders of the Pack, the sages of wisdom and discernment for the younger generations. There is no such thing as RETIREMENT when it comes to mission and ministry.

God has blessed our church with a great number of young adults, many are having babies and raising families.  We're also blessed to have nearly 50 adults who are leaving that stage. These two things rarely coexist in the same church.  We are BLESSED, and we want to leverage who we are and what we've been given to reach our neighbors, our city, and world -- so that others may hear...AND live!  We want to help people find AND follow Jesus!
